Blue Star Families (BSF) of Richmond, Virginia (VA2) was formed in June 2007 in response to the need to provide support to the families of active duty military personnel. It is a chapter of Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., which was chartered by Congress in 1960. We are a non-profit (501c3), non-sectarian, non-political organization. 

BSF shares educational information to benefit members and their families through speakers, meetings, informal gatherings and email.  

We provide support for deployed and active-duty service personnel through the collection and mailing of care packages several times a year. We also support local programs to raise awareness of the needs of our military and veterans. 

Our members are at all different stages in their loved one's military career. We are here to help and support you with any of your questions and concerns.
