Summer Ice Cream Social - We would like to have another social this summer and would like to ask the membership if anyone would like to host this event. Please let Retsy Kitchen know if and when you would like to host this or any up coming event. Our business Meetings are important but so are our informal get together where we get to know each other.

The USO RIC- opened in June -They need lots of volunteers to operate. Please contact Pat Jordan( the director) for additional information Pat@usohr.org


UNCLE SAM WANTS YOU...was the National cry to rally volunteers to help ensure freedom during the 20th Century. With the addition of the Galanti Education, we will need forty new volunteers to man the welcome desk, greet visitors, assist in the library and with exhibit displays, work in the gift shop and serve as a docent. The Memorial wants your help to tell the story of sacrifices to ensure freedom to our visitors. Please consider a tour of giving back to the next generation while serving along with the staff of the Memorial.


 

And last but not least- Please keep me informed about your loved ones status. (Address, address changes, R&R, Deployment, Redeployment and homecomings) We have many coming home in the next two months and several leaving. Remember we are not just for Deployment! Also your knowledge and experience are invaluable. This shared information may be just what can help someone else get through having a loved one Serve during a time of War.

 Baking Day at Fisher House is Every Wednesday

**Please help our Baking Team at Fisher House by bringing needed items to all of our meetings. We are looking for:

 Mini-muffin pans, cooling racks, cake, brownie, and muffin mixes,  bar (Lemon and Pecan) mixes, pie crust, pudding ( both instant and cooking varieties), confectionary sugar, sugar, flavorings (vanilla, lemon, orange, banana, peppermint, etc.), self-rising and plain flour, brown sugar, chocolate chips, sprinkles or candies like M&Ms, any kind of nuts, cupcake papers, and just about anything you can think of for baking. We will use it!!!

Please bring a boxed mix from the list above to each of our Blue Star Events. Our bakers do appreciate all your help!
