Military Family Picnic                      

Blue Star Families of Richmond, Virginia, will hold their second annual Family Picnic at the Columbian Center Picnic Area, 2324 Pump Road, on Sunday afternoon, June 22^nd from 4-7 p.m.   Proud parents of Richmond area heroes are joining together to encourage and support each other.  Blue Star membership consists of local mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, children, other family members and friends, who have loved ones currently serving or who have served in the U.S. Military.  All military families are encouraged to join us -- your military family member does not need to be currently deployed for you to be a part of the Blue Star group.  Last year’s picnic was a great success and we hope to see even more of you this year.  Please bring a main dish for your family, as well as one side dish or dessert to share.  Soft drinks, iced tea, and water will be provided. There is a grill available for anyone who wants to barbecue their dinner.  Picnic tables are available at the shelter area. Bring a lawn chair for extra seating.
